Start an Entrepreneurial Club

Do you always feel like you’re missing out because you don’t have access to the right information? Do you feel like you’d be successful if only you had the time and money for further education? From sewing circles to book clubs to rotary clubs, people have been gathering to exchange information for centuries.

If you start or join an entrepreneurial club or mastermind group, you’ll automatically have exponentially more information. However, you don’t want it to be an experience of the blind leading the blind.  Make sure the leader of the group has demonstrated the result you want to attain.

Many doctors have been criticized for pretending like they know everything. All too frequently, patients respond better to doctors who admit they in fact don’t have all the information known to the human race and transparently consult resources like the internet.

If you don’t have the background, education or knowledge necessary to grow your business as fast as you could be, there is nothing wrong with seeking the consultation of an expert.

Accountability

One of the primary benefits of a community, whether it be a church, school or recovery group, is accountability. If you set goals such as New Year’s resolutions but are prone to not following through, an entrepreneurial club could be just the thing to keep you on track.

Networking

Successful performing arts organizations don’t pretend like they exist in a vacuum. They don’t ignore the other organizations in their community due to competition. Instead, they work with each other to develop an even more successful endeavor. They utilize cross-marketing to encourage people to attend each other’s shows and therefore build their own audience.

The majority of jobs are gotten not by applying online but through leveraging their connections. By connecting with other people who have similar goals, you’ll be expanding the number of professionals you know that much more and may help you make connections organically.

Idea Sharing

Not only will you be able to exchange information in your entrepreneurial group, you’ll also be able to exchange ideas. If something you’ve thought of has worked out well for your business, you can share that with your peers, and they’ll in turn share ideas with you.

You can combine brainstorming with accountability by scheduling brainstorming to be a regular part of your meetings. In other words, this will encourage you to come up with ideas if you’re juggling a lot in your life or tend to be easily distracted.
