Increasing visibility and putting your business on Front Street is key to attracting more clients. If people can’t find your services, how will they ever be able to hire you? There are three main areas I coach my clients on when helping them promote their company to attract new business.
1. First, it’s imperative to have a website that is searchable. Hands down, the number 1 website platform to be on is WordPress. Google absolutely loves WordPress sites, and just by converting your current outdated website to a shiny new WordPress layout you could dramatically increase your search engine ranking overnight.
Search engine optimization requires more than just having a WordPress site, but WP makes it easy to get all of the other elements in place. Using the keywords that your prospective clients would use on your site is imperative also. It’s also important to understand the basics of blogging and link building to optimize your site. Consulting with an SEO expert for a couple of hours is an investment that can pay you back multiple times over by turning your stagnant site into a lead generation machine.
2. One excellent way to create powerful incoming links to your site and lead potential customers right to you is by writing press releases. Press releases which include your keywords and are placed on high traffic websites can send a lot of traffic to your site in a hurry. Write a press release for every news worthy event your business takes part in, such as events, program launches, launching a new website, or landing a high profile contract or client.
3. Article marketing is a marketing strategy that most internet marketers count as being among the most effective of online marketing strategies. Placing articles on high page rank websites can infuse a lot of Google Juice to your site in a hurry, plus cash in on your choice of keywords. Potential clients view article authors with a lot of credibility and can be regarded as a warm lead when they are interested enough to click through to your website. Articles can become highly ranked and can stay in places years after you’ve written and posted them which can result in years worth of leads and backlinks.
With 2010 winding down, which of these three strategies did you make the most of this year? Consider adding these strategies to your 2011 marketing plan and ramp up your marketing and your profits in 2011.
